?A taste of Swedish ice? is an art exhibition of selected photographs of natural ice taken by artist Jolanta Wallström during various long-distance Nordic-skating excursions in Sweden. It?s an innovative artistic take on one of the most incredible Scandinavian outdoor activities. The images are not manipulated ? they reflect pure mesmerizing beauty of this fascinating phenomenon (i.e. natural ice) and its aesthetic qualities.

Natural ice is both thrilling and enchanting, but at the same time treacherous, unpredictable and dangerous. Long-distance skating on natural ice requires technical knowledge and diverse safety precautions, but the reward is incredible! During tours on natural ice one can capture fantastic images and see the ice in a multitude of new ways.
